When I want to romanticise my life this is where I go 🌹
A 10,000 step route through South London.
Romanticising my life has become one of my fav pastimes, and a way I’ve finally been able to enjoy spending time on my own. I’m never lonely when I’ve got a trendy bakery to walk to, interesting buildings to ponder, and a route that will help me get 10,000 steps in. Even better if I’m listening to a good playlist that makes my heart swoop with emotion (Ryan Adams, Come Pick Me Up is a good one, a harmonica solo will do that won’t it!)
I find so much joy discovering cute places in local neighbourhoods, then finding nice little walking circuits to join them all together. And because we’re romanticising our life here, of course this involves freshly baked morsels every 15-20 minutes and lots of opportunity to buy fancy deli bits. That spicy kimchi and giant burrata and £19 box of choccies won’t eat themselves will they!
So the next time you wake up to a crisp sunny day, with a few hours to kill and that hopeful kind of feeling in your tummy, hit Play on the Elizabethtown soundtrack and have yourself a perfect day.
These are all the places I go when I want to romanticise my life, and better yet, here’s the exact route to get you from A to B to C to D. I find this day is best enjoyed on your own – let South London be your companion. Enjoy 🥰
