Things my teenage self is urging me to buy from Vinted
I’m writing from my sick bed. I’ve got such a bad cold that I’ve had to cancel all of my plans for the last few days and have been lolling around in my snotty-tissue-strewn cave, which has led to a spike in my internet use as I’ve not had the inclination to do much apart from scroll. In an effort to stay out of (financial) trouble, I challenged myself to save everything but buy nothing, so I thought it would be fun to share some of my wish list here.
Inspired by that series on TikTok from fashionista (god it’s been a long time since I wrote that word. I’m bringing it back!) Jack Savoie, who’s series “Handbags of the past” and “Shoes of the past”, have been some of my favourite content to consume of late. The one about the J Crew Bubble necklace was just SO nostalgic. I never thought I’d find myself yearning for the business-casual style of the millennium, but here we are, oversized jewellery and all.
I don’t know if it’s my age, the need for happy escapism or what, but recently I’ve found myself inspired by and looking for all the things teenage and twenty-something me wanted to buy, but never had the money for. So here’s my version of designer fashion from the past that I’m resurfacing, and might even just pull the trigger on buying when my spending ban has ended.
