Excuse me if this is such a trope as to be insanely obvious, but last year I discovered that Paris really is the most incredible city. That’s my big reveal! I know you’re paying to read this so don’t worry, this will quickly become more informative but for now can I just say. Every stereotype about Paris is 100% true – it’s romantic, historic, beautiful, has great food on every corner and, even better, the best shopping of my life.

Yes! For us trinket girls you’ll be pleased to hear: it’s very much a city where shopkeeping is alive and well. Every street is lined with beautiful well-kept boutiques bursting full of lovely things, many of which you can have personalised right in front of you (something that seems really commonplace in Paris!) Shopping is a celebrated activity. If you like mooching around, going from bar to department store on the quest for cute bits and bobs, Paris is more than happy to oblige.
